Bagamlu 04:09
How many moons turned since I'm still picking up the pieces Impossible to deny the beauty of the flames left in your wake A semblance of what was had found in the faces That should have surpassed what was For shame That all that was poured into a vessel Capable of only paying forward favor with tragedy Though the shattered remains you left are all I can hold of you now The pieces should fall into their place But how can this be what is meant Come, cold apathy Consequences delivered on the single lost wager that grants life meaning This burden to bear, beyond engulfed

Sacred Springs Fallen from the heavens Vernal altars Ripe for worship Chryselephantine gardens Blinding mine eyes Visionary mirrors reflecting back Testimonies to power The effigy's visage carved with antipodal sentiments Reaching out to maintain its balance Bidding prevarication Resting on the shoulder of delusion While the rest wait for the fall Unviability, so evident Testimonies to power When wounds are open spilling humiliation 10,000 years celebrated in rapture Culminated in endless more lifetimes of failure and death Unending cycles of death, death Retreat to the narrow crevice in the earth Crawl amongst the suffocating stone Like razors shredding skin to the bone Dare to allow the sunlight to kiss your existence Only as a mass of dripping red vulnerability Embrace the shame thrown upon the fool who dared to hold his head high With a shattered sense of self, maybe then you'll see There is no choir to sing your way into your psychotic vision of paradise Only the screeching dissonance fills the air to the beat of your blood dripping from your ear to the floor Carved to the bone The conduit of connection permanently severed Left in suspended animation Salivating over the obsession implanted by the embodiment of malevolence Oblivious to the commencement of the vultures' feast The effigy's visage carved with antipodal sentiments Reaching out to maintain its balance Bidding prevarication Resting on the shoulder of delusion While the rest wait for the fall Unviability, so evident

Impermanence 08:23
And so time carries on Left behind to decay, all but the values we hold To emerge from youth frail and withered Could beauty ever be mutable Or would grace forever fail to meet my eyes Dismal mental meanderings couldn't distract from The wind brushing back your hair revealing Your lashes coated in black Their impermanence Whipping me into cold-sweat anxiety Divinity stay For just a second longer What weight I wouldn't carry To see this form Never laid victim To the waste of the past Against a backdrop of serene tranquility Sky unmoving The moment fleeting Death's hand stops the clock to present Dream now or march on to the end of the serpent's maw How many moons passed But still I despair at the thought of what never again is to truly mean Solipsist to be Solipsist to be, eternity dawns upon you Solipsist to be, eternity dawns upon you Memory's meaning lost to an omniscient sleep For an infinity of this, permanence Solipsist to be, eternity dawns upon you Curse from a spiteful shadow Drained the color from this world Love, hate, beauty, sin Dissolve to apathy Senses numb by the static state of pure perfection Coiled just above the brow in the waking world Sits the serpent in pleasure Over the husk once foolish enough to shake with the devil What right to those who fell prey to the seductress Even in manifestations with a fresh mind Immortality's grown salient So soon called infinity's dream of rapture come to an end Peace found me in the moment of an open eye Death's reality slipped away, lost as soon as it came Ethereal perception blind my eyes no more The illusion of unending euphoria Vision long lost to monochrome Blurring the existential demand For the resolution of this dissonance Against a backdrop of serene tranquility Sky unmoving Here in your arms, in your arms forevermore

In Contempt 08:58
Pinned down and swallowed by pride The darker half of a soul held comatose and commanded not to breathe My God it's freezing, I don't remember how it got this way Is this winter to be eternal I see the lamb I need to slaughter to thaw this ice But circumstance speaks clear The time is not right, now would be too soon Too much to let go of, too much to lose I see the lamb I need to slaughter and when the hour strikes for light to rest, I picture it dead Betrayed by morality meant for what To whom was the image of perfection concerned In this sick test of compliance Their laughter clouds judgement Cast aside, failure Foul display of human behavior Close the cell and let the light of decay burn the scum clean off the earth Mockery to the vision of paradise Dance in the menagerie The devil you are, under the scope Mockery to the vision of paradise Dance in the menagerie The devil you are, under the scope

Forcing a new moon to rise Beneath the weight of threads once woven together now severed Fate cast thee to pieces Condemned to blind myself Earth pigmented parchment, cover my eyes from a truth I cannot bear A veil once lifted can never be replaced, yet carry on I must Bereaved from normalcy Voices bounce from my head through the wall Spirit of wisdom grant me comfort in these final moments before a total curtain call commands me return to a divine light Suffocating under symbols I've lost my grip and cannot escape from this cosmic nightmare No retribution For I am victim to the flow of a destiny that I'll never know For all I may hope for is to one day dance in defiance of the God that made them bow I cannot force a new moon to rise Untethered, I'm lost and overwhelmed Handed over to evil as punishment The consequences of defiance, left all alone Species damned to solitary confinement The psychopathic infection to all existence What kind of weak excuse for a parent leaves their creation in the wilderness to justify their absence No praise, no worship should be shown to the cowardly force that left us on our own

Your mountain of promises scrapes the sky Engorged on sacrifices The dreams of the newborn Like a rising wave, destined to crash down upon the sands of time Forgotten along with all of the misery endured Face pressed to the asphalt and dragged for a lifetime An existence of exhaustion that no sleep can remedy Years slipped through fingers worked to the bone Years slipped through fingers old and withered Reflecting on a life with no substance to show Tomorrow holds no silver lining when everyday is lived in gray Miraculous, profound essence of the universe Reduced to means only to be discarded to make for the next to enter the machine Judgement handed from God Perpetuated by man and machine The perpetrators of our own collective misery When will the sun shine I've paid my time I want my rest When will the fucking clouds part When will the sun finally fucking shine
